Sun gets an European Commission grant for the AEGIS project, which aims at giving open source the same (or preferably better) accessibility features as the proprietary software. AEGIS will set up and use the Open Accessibility Framework to provide an open method for accessing third-generation Web pages and applications. This may leapfrog Microsoft’s work in this area and not take back an important sub-market. Will keep an eye on this one!
